The ARC HORLOGER team

Since the association was founded on 6 December 2024, ARC HORLOGER has adopted a new operating structure. In addition to a new Committee, composed of equal numbers of members from France and Switzerland, it has six working groups, each responsible for a specific task.

Since its creation in 2024, the ARC HORLOGER association has brought together, thanks to its Franco-Swiss committee, nearly 80 experts in watchmaking and mechanical art within six working groups dedicated to carrying out its missions.

  • The Regional Marketing Group: focuses on promoting expertise by placing it within a cultural and industrial narrative.
  • The Training Group: facilitates dialogue, particularly between trainers and companies, to encourage knowledge transfer; it is considering creating an award to recognise teaching excellence.
  • The Promotion Group: develops the association's visibility through a website that is to be expanded, workshop visits and an active presence at watchmaking and heritage events.
  • The Observatory Group: is responsible for designing and implementing an observatory, an essential knowledge base, by inventorying and documenting expertise; at the same time, a directory of holders will be developed.
  • The Membership Group: leads the campaign to attract members and donors.
  • The Archives Group: builds a network of documentation centres to promote the preservation and enhancement of written and material heritage.

Since the UNESCO application, ARC HORLOGER has been working closely with representatives from various communities, mainly: independent artisans; manufacturers and companies; schools and training centres for watchmaking and mechanical arts; museums and archives.
